EBBS 3.1.4-rc1 removed the 32-bit dependency, cleaned up the compiler warnings, and fixed the bugs found in 3.1.3.
EBBS-3.1.4-rc2 fixed yet more 32-bit data structures. Use this unless you find a reason not to.
glibc-devel.x86_64 and ncurses-devel.x86_64 are needed for build.

EBBS 3.1.3 includes changes necessary to compile this very old code in a modern Linux distribution. I can confirm it still builds in Fedora 31; no modifications needed for osdeps.h or Makefile. You will need to install the glibc-devel.i686 and ncurses-devel.i686 packages. For other Linux distributions, it will probably work with some tweaking. There was once support for several other O/S; that's probably dead and gone now.
